Catholic Charities of the Diocese of Palm Beach is honored to announce the award of an $817,000 reimbursement-based grant from the Florida Pregnancy Care Network through the Florida Pregnancy and Parenting Support Services Program. This critical funding will strengthen the organization’s ongoing efforts to support women, men, and families facing unexpected pregnancies by providing compassionate, life-affirming care and resources.
The grant will fund operational costs and expand access to vital services, including pregnancy testing, confidential options counseling, parenting classes, fatherhood support, and education on healthy pregnancies and parenting. These services are provided through Birthline Lifeline, Catholic Charities’ network of three pregnancy care centers located in Boynton Beach, West Palm Beach, and Fort Pierce.
In addition to the physical centers, the grant supports the continued operation of two mobile pregnancy units, operated by the Women's Pregnancy Solutions Program, which bring services directly to women in need throughout the Diocese's five-county region. These mobile units offer a lifeline to underserved areas, ensuring that women facing unplanned pregnancies receive timely care, information, and emotional support—right where they are.
“Our mission is to walk alongside every woman, every family, with dignity and compassion,” said Ellen T. Wayne, CEO of Catholic Charities of the Diocese of Palm Beach. “This generous grant allows us to reach even more women and families with the life-affirming support they need during one of the most vulnerable times in their lives.”
The Florida Pregnancy and Parenting Support Services Program, administered by the Florida Pregnancy Care Network, plays a vital role in empowering expectant parents to make informed choices and build stronger, healthier families. Catholic Charities is proud to be a long-standing partner in this effort.
Through Birthline Lifeline and Women's Pregnancy Solutions, thousands of families each year are served with unconditional love, practical support, and the information needed to choose life and thrive in parenthood.
