Catholic Campaign for Human Development (CCHD) helps poor people help themselves escape poverty and address its causes by investing in their development so they can participate in the decisions that affect their families and communities. Donations to CCHD give those in poverty the support they need to make lasting changes. Each year a special collection for CCHD is taken at the parishes of the Diocese of Palm Beach. It was established by the USCCB as a response to the Gospel of Jesus Christ and an expression of the Social Doctrine of the Catholic Church.
