Catholic Charities Hunger Homeless Outreach provides emergency homelessness prevention services that assist individuals and families to attain economic stability and self-sufficiency. Services include:
- Rent, mortgage, and utility assistance to prevent eviction, foreclosure, or utility shut-off
- Budgeting/Financial Counseling - using "Your Money, Your Goals" curriculum
- Assistance screening: helping to screen clients to see if they qualify for available resources including food stamps (SNAP) and Medicaid.
- Benefit Enrollment: provide help in enrolling those who qualify for assistance benefits.
- Food assistance
Services are available in Palm Beach and Martin counties only, subject to grant requirements which include, but not limited to:
- Each family must document a temporary economic crisis beyond its control vs long term financial instability
- Families must demonstrate the ability to meet future rental obligations after assistance is provided, based on current or anticipated income
- Clients must participate in financial education and the formation of a budget demonstrating their ability to meet their financial obligations

This program does not provide assistance in finding housing or paying for move-in costs for new housing. It is meant to prevent homelessness for those not yet homeless, but at risk.
