Catholic Charities Receives Generous Gift Baskets for Survivors of Human Trafficking

Catholic Charities of the Diocese of Palm Beach is deeply grateful to Dr. Tracy Romanello of The Soares Kildare Science Foundation (SKSF) for her thoughtful and generous donation of ten beautifully prepared gift baskets for survivors of human trafficking served through our Bakhita Empowerment Program serving victims of Human Trafficking.

Dr. Romanello not only curated and donated these special baskets, but also personally visited our program to deliver them. Her kindness reflects a deep commitment to uplifting survivors and walking alongside them on their journey of healing and restoration.

The baskets, filled with comfort items and personal care products, are more than gifts—they are reminders that our clients are seen, valued, and supported by a compassionate community. Gestures like these provide dignity and encouragement for survivors who are working courageously to rebuild their lives.

Dr. Romanello has also shared her generosity publicly on the SKSF website, highlighting her support for the Bakhita Empowerment Program and raising awareness about the importance of caring for survivors. You can view her message and learn more about her work here.

We are especially excited that Dr. Romanello has expressed a strong interest in continuing her support and partnering with Catholic Charities on upcoming events. Together, we look forward to creating meaningful opportunities to serve survivors, raise awareness, and foster healing within our community.

On behalf of Catholic Charities and the survivors we serve, we extend our heartfelt thanks to Dr. Romanello and The Soares Kildare Science Foundation for their generosity, compassion, and partnership in this vital work.
