Celebrating Excellence: Honoring Our Employee of the Quarter - Q1, Connie Williams

Catholic Charities of the Diocese of Palm Beach is proud to recognize Connie Williams, Disaster Recovery Case Manager, as our Employee of the Quarter (Q1). Connie’s dedication, compassion, and unwavering commitment to those in crisis have made a life-changing difference for families and individuals recovering from the devastating impacts of the Hurricane Milton–related tornadoes.

Serving across St. Lucie, Okeechobee, and Indian River Counties and housed at our Fort Pierce office, Connie has spent January until present walking alongside survivors whose homes, belongings, and sense of stability were shattered in an instant. Many of the hardest-hit neighborhoods were already struggling—areas where families were living paycheck to paycheck, seniors were isolated, and resources were limited long before disaster struck. When the tornadoes tore through our communities, the needs were immense. But Connie stepped forward, ensuring no survivor had to navigate the aftermath alone.

A Steadfast Presence in Times of Crisis

As a Disaster Recovery Case Manager, Connie does far more than help clients file paperwork or access emergency assistance. She listens. She advocates. She restores hope.

Her work includes:

  • Guiding survivors through long-term recovery planning
  • Coordinating repairs and rebuilding resources
  • Helping families replace critical household items
  • Connecting clients to mental health support and community services
  • Ensuring vulnerable residents—especially those in low-income and rural areas—receive equitable access to assistance

Connie’s efforts have been especially impactful in communities where language barriers, transportation needs, and financial hardships make recovery even more challenging. Her calm presence and relentless follow-through provide comfort on the toughest days and create a path forward for those who feel overwhelmed.

Leading With Compassion, Strength, and Dedication

Disaster recovery is not easy work. It requires patience, resilience, advocacy, and deep compassion. Connie brings all of this—and more—to her role every day. Her leadership has strengthened our disaster response efforts, and her dedication has brought stability and hope to dozens of families across our service area.

Thank You, Connie

Catholic Charities is blessed to have Connie Williams on our team. Her hard work reflects the heart of our mission: to serve those most in need, accompany them through hardship, and help rebuild lives with dignity and compassion.

Please join us in congratulating her. Her service is a shining example of faith in action—and a reminder that even in the aftermath of devastation, hope can be rebuilt one family at a time.
