Catholic Charities Receives Raskob Foundation Grant to Support Samaritan Center Families

Catholic Charities of the Diocese of Palm Beach is grateful to the Raskob Foundation for Catholic Activities, Inc. for a $25,000 Grant award to support the continued operation of the Samaritan Center, a transitional housing facility serving families experiencing homelessness. The grant period runs from November 24, 2025, through November 23, 2026.

The Samaritan Center provides temporary housing and structured supportive services for up to nine families at a time, helping them move toward stability and self-sufficiency. Through comprehensive programming, residents receive education and guidance in financial literacy, fiscal responsibility, parenting, employability, and both individual and group counseling.

This generous funding will help Catholic Charities continue delivering these essential services, empowering families to rebuild their lives, strengthen their financial and parenting skills, and secure long-term housing. The Samaritan Center’s holistic approach addresses both immediate housing needs and the underlying challenges that contribute to homelessness.

“We are deeply thankful to the Raskob Foundation for its commitment to strengthening and supporting families in crisis,” said Renee Bireley, Development Manager.  “This grant allows us to continue walking alongside families as they transition from homelessness to hope and stability.”

Catholic Charities values the Raskob Foundation’s partnership and shared commitment to advancing compassionate, faith-based services. Together, we are helping families move toward independence, dignity, and a brighter future.
