Quail Valley Charities Supports Samaritan Center Children's Programming

Catholic Charities of the Diocese of Palm Beach is grateful to recognize the generous support of Quail Valley Charities through a March 2026 grant award of $11,000 benefiting the children’s programming at the Samaritan Center.  Our CEO, Ellen T. Wayne and Samaritan Center Development Manager, Renee Bireley, were present at Quail Valley's check presentation event on March 16.

Thanks to this generous grant, children residing at the Samaritan Center’s transitional housing program will have expanded access to educational enrichment, recreational activities, and supportive programming designed to promote healthy development and academic success. The Samaritan Center provides safe, temporary housing and supportive services to families experiencing homelessness while they work toward stable, permanent housing.

Children living in transitional housing often face significant disruptions in their education and daily routines. Funding from Quail Valley Charities helps ensure that these children have opportunities to participate in structured activities that foster learning, creativity, and emotional well-being while their families rebuild stability.

Since its founding in 2001, Quail Valley Charities has dedicated its philanthropic efforts to supporting nonprofit programs that benefit children and their education in Indian River County. Through community events and charitable initiatives, the organization has distributed more than $14 million to programs serving children and youth.

Catholic Charities is honored to partner with organizations like Quail Valley Charities that share a commitment to helping children thrive despite challenging circumstances.  We extend our sincere gratitude to the leadership, members, and supporters of Quail Valley Charities for their generosity and dedication to improving the lives of children in our community. Their support will make a meaningful difference for the young residents of the Samaritan Center and help ensure they have the resources and opportunities needed to succeed.
