Catholic Charities of the Diocese of Palm Beach’s Samaritan Center was honored to attend the 2026 In His Shoes Award Celebration, a meaningful event that brings together partners from across the Treasure Coast who are committed to addressing homelessness and supporting our most vulnerable neighbors.
Hosted by the Treasure Coast Homeless Services Council, the annual celebration recognizes the outstanding efforts of individuals and organizations working on the front lines of housing stability, outreach, and supportive services. This year, the Samaritan Center was proud to be nominated as a Housing Provider—an acknowledgment of the dedicated work our team carries out each day to serve families experiencing homelessness.
While we did not receive the final award, we are deeply grateful for the nomination and the opportunity to stand alongside so many committed partners who share in this mission. The recognition reflects not only the work of our staff, but also the resilience of the families we serve and the generosity of our supporters who make this work possible.
At the Samaritan Center, we know that addressing homelessness requires more than providing a temporary place to stay. Our approach focuses on long-term stability—offering case management, trauma-informed care, and supportive services that empower families to rebuild their lives. Being nominated among other outstanding providers affirms the importance of this comprehensive, compassionate model.
