Jake Owen Foundation Awards $10,000 Grant to Support Homeless Families at Samaritan Center

Jake Owen Foundation has awarded a generous $10,000 grant to support the work of Catholic Charities Diocese of Palm Beach and its Samaritan Center program, which provides transitional housing and supportive services to homeless families in Indian River County.

Located in Vero Beach, the Samaritan Center offers families experiencing homelessness a safe and stable place to rebuild their lives while receiving individualized case management, mental health care, financial education, employment support, and resources designed to help them achieve long-term housing stability.

The Jake Owen Foundation, founded by country music artist Jake Owen, is committed to “helping people in the places they call home” through charitable investments that strengthen communities and support families in need. The Foundation maintains deep roots in Indian River County and has consistently invested in initiatives that create meaningful local impact.

“We are incredibly grateful to the Jake Owen Foundation for recognizing the importance of transitional housing and family stability in our community,” said Renee Bireley, Development Manager at the Samaritan Center. “This generous support will help provide safe shelter, critical services, and renewed hope for families working to overcome homelessness.”

The grant will directly support Samaritan Center’s efforts to assist families facing housing insecurity due to rising living costs and economic hardship. Through comprehensive support services and stable temporary housing, the program empowers parents and children to move toward self-sufficiency and permanent housing solutions.

The partnership reflects a shared commitment to strengthening the local community and ensuring vulnerable families have the opportunity to thrive. Catholic Charities extends sincere appreciation to the Jake Owen Foundation for its compassion, generosity, and continued dedication to helping families across Indian River County.
