Catholic Charities of the Diocese of Palm Beach is honored to recognize the generous support of United Way of Indian River County through the award of a 2026–2027 Community Impact Grant benefiting the Samaritan Center transitional housing program. The grant will provide critical funding to support homeless families in Indian River County as they work toward stable housing and long-term self-sufficiency.
The Samaritan Center offers transitional housing and comprehensive support services for families experiencing homelessness, including life skills development, financial literacy, mental health care, parenting education, and individualized case management. Through this partnership, Catholic Charities will continue helping families identify and overcome the root causes of homelessness while building a pathway toward independence and stability.
“We are deeply grateful to United Way of Indian River County for their continued partnership and investment in families experiencing homelessness,” said Carol Rodriguez, Catholic Charities Program Development and Quality Director. “This support allows Samaritan Center to continue providing compassionate care, safe housing, and the tools families need to create brighter futures for themselves and their children.”
Catholic Charities also recognizes the dedication of the United Way Community Impact Committee and staff for their commitment to strengthening the health and financial stability of Indian River County residents. The program review highlighted the Samaritan Center’s strong client support structure, community connections, and commitment to long-term success for participating families.
Together, Catholic Charities and United Way of Indian River County are making a lasting difference in the lives of vulnerable families throughout the community.
