Catholic Charities Samaritan Center Receives $5,000 Grant from M&T Charitable Foundation

Catholic Charities of the Diocese of Palm Beach is pleased to announce that the Samaritan Center for Homeless Families has received a $5,000 grant from the M&T Charitable Foundation in support of its mission to help families experiencing homelessness achieve stability and self-sufficiency.

The grant, awarded in May 2026, will help support the Samaritan Center's comprehensive transitional housing program in Indian River County. Through safe housing, case management, mental health care, life-skills development, employment assistance, and supportive services, the Samaritan Center empowers families to overcome homelessness and build brighter futures.

"We are deeply grateful to the M&T Charitable Foundation for its generous investment in our Samaritan Center program," said Renee Bireley, Catholic Charities Development Manager. "Support from community partners like M&T allows us to continue providing families with the resources, guidance, and hope they need to regain stability and independence."

The Samaritan Center serves homeless families with children by providing not only temporary housing but also the tools and support necessary to address the challenges that led to homelessness. Through individualized service plans and a focus on long-term success, families are equipped to secure permanent housing, increase income, and strengthen family well-being.

This grant reflects the M&T Charitable Foundation's commitment to strengthening communities and supporting organizations that make a meaningful difference in the lives of individuals and families facing hardship.

Catholic Charities extends its sincere appreciation to the M&T Charitable Foundation for its partnership and support. Together, we are helping families move from crisis to stability and creating lasting opportunities for hope and success.
