Catholic Charities Extends Gratitude to Parish Communities Across the Diocese of Palm Beach
The spirit of Christian charity was on full display throughout the Diocese of Palm Beach as parishioners, volunteers, clergy, Catholic Charities board and staff, and community supporters came together in support of Catholic Charities' Helping Hands for Cuba Campaign.
Catholic Charities extends its heartfelt gratitude to the many faithful individuals and families who donated essential food and hygiene items to assist families in Cuba facing severe shortages. Through your generosity, countless items were collected to provide nourishment, dignity, and hope to those experiencing significant hardship.
This effort would not have been possible without the extraordinary support of the parishes that partnered with Catholic Charities by serving as collection sites and welcoming donors throughout the campaign. We offer special thanks to:
- St. Bernadette Parish, Port St. Lucie
- St. Paul of the Cross Parish, North Palm Beach
- St. Juliana Parish, West Palm Beach
- St. Joan of Arc Parish, Boca Raton
We are deeply grateful to the pastors, parish staff, ministry leaders, volunteers, and parishioners at each of these communities for opening their doors and helping coordinate donation collections. Their commitment to serving others reflects the Gospel call to care for our brothers and sisters in need, regardless of distance or circumstance.
The Helping Hands for Cuba Campaign was established to provide critical food and hygiene supplies to families struggling with shortages of basic necessities. Donations of rice, beans, spaghetti, vegetable oil, soap, and other essential items will help address immediate needs while reminding recipients that they are not forgotten. Along with proceeds from the second collections taken at parishes throughout the diocese, we are poised to provide a significant response to the needs of individuals in the dioceses of Santiago de Cuba and Bayamo-Manzanillo.
This campaign is a powerful example of what can be accomplished when the Church comes together as one family. Every donated item, every volunteer hour, and every act of generosity represents a tangible expression of Christ's love and compassion.
As we continue this humanitarian effort, Catholic Charities also thanks those who contributed financially, assisted with logistics, promoted the campaign, and offered prayers for the people of Cuba. Your support has made a meaningful difference and demonstrates the strength and generosity of our diocesan community.
Together, we have shown that even across oceans and borders, faith can unite us in service, compassion, and hope.
On behalf of Catholic Charities and the families who will benefit from these donations, thank you for being the hands and feet of Christ.
