Fraternal greetings!
I am Bishop Pablo Modesto González from the Diocese of La Guaira, Venezuela. I would like to take this opportunity to thank the Diocese of Palm Beach, especially your bishop, Bishop Manuel J. Rodríguez, for your support and your closeness to us.
One of Pope Francis’ concerns was the growing insensitivity in our world. If there is one thing I can highlight from these days of great pain, it is seeing how so many people have awakened in solidarity and generosity. That is why I truly want to express my heartfelt gratitude and appreciation to all of you.
I pray that this seed, watered with so much blood here in La Guaira, may continue to grow in the hearts of many people, inspiring generosity, selfless service, and the willingness to give—not only from what they have in abundance, but even, at times, from what they themselves need.
May God bless you all, and thank you so very much. From the bottom of our hearts, we are deeply grateful. We send you our thanks from this people who are suffering and wounded, yet filled with hope.
May God bless you all!
