For 25 years, Amy Fariello-Hanson has been a dedicated presence at Catholic Charities of the Diocese of Palm Beach, embodying the compassion, dignity and commitment that define our mission of serving people in need and creating hope in all stages of life.
Amy began her journey with Catholic Charities in 2001 as a case manager in the Elder Affairs Program. Over the years, her dedication to the seniors she served, and her passion for helping some of our community's most vulnerable individuals led her to take on increasing responsibility. Today, she serves as Director of Elder Affairs—a role she has grown into through 25 years of hands-on experience, leadership and service.
A Career Built on Compassion
The Elder Affairs Program serves vulnerable older adults who are unable to advocate for themselves and, in many cases, have no family member or other appropriate person available to assist them. Through guardianship and case management services to victims of crime, Catholic Charities helps ensure that these seniors receive the care, protection and dignity they deserve.
For Amy, this work has never simply been about a job. It has been about people.
From her earliest days as a case manager, Amy has understood that every senior has a unique story, a lifetime of experiences and an inherent dignity that must be respected. Her work has required not only professional expertise, but also patience, empathy, perseverance and a willingness to advocate for individuals who may not otherwise have a voice.
Over the course of 25 years, she has witnessed countless changes in the needs of older adults and in the social service landscape. Through it all, her commitment has remained constant: to make a meaningful difference in the lives of the people entrusted to her care.
