Catholic Charities of the Diocese of Palm Beach is committed to protecting and empowering older adults in our community.
On October 1, 2026, Lorenna Morales-Slonaker and Shannon Allen, team members of our Elder Affairs – Victims of Crime Program, presented to residents at Villa Madonna about fraud and scams targeting seniors.
Lorenna served as the key speaker for the presentation, sharing important information with the all-Hispanic audience about recognizing scams, protecting themselves from becoming victims, and—most importantly—having the courage to speak up and report when something happens.
We are grateful to Villa Madonna for welcoming our team and for their continued partnership in helping protect our senior community. We look forward to returning soon to provide education on using phones, the internet, and social media more safely.
