Hope Valley Resource Center Partners with Catholic Charities to Provide Mental Health Services to Victims

Catholic Charities of the Diocese of Palm Beach is strengthening its commitment to serving vulnerable individuals through a partnership with Hope Valley Resource Center, Inc., expanding access to professional mental health counseling for human trafficking survivors and older adults who have experienced crime.

Through a formal Memorandum of Understanding (MOU), the two organizations are establishing a coordinated approach to connecting eligible individuals served by Catholic Charities’ Bakhita Empowerment Program and Elder Affairs Program with licensed mental health professionals. The partnership is designed to promote healing, emotional well-being, personal safety, and long-term stability.

The partnership reflects a shared commitment to helping people navigate difficult circumstances with dignity, compassion, and access to meaningful support. By connecting individuals with specialized mental health services alongside existing case management and supportive resources, the organizations are working to address both immediate needs and the longer-term process of healing.

“At Catholic Charities, we recognize that caring for vulnerable individuals means addressing the whole person, says Sandra Perez, Program Director. "Partnerships like this help us connect those we serve with additional resources that support healing, safety, and stability.”
