Catholic Charities of the Diocese of Palm Beach was established in 1984 as the social service arm of the Diocese of Palm Beach. Catholic Charities programs and ministries are developed to meet the most current and pressing needs of the communities that are served. The agency serves more than 15,000 people in need every year throughout the Diocese of Palm Beach which includes the counties of Palm Beach, St. Lucie, Indian River, Martin and Okeechobee. Catholic Charities currently provides services through 13 programs and ministries.

Providing intensive and long-term case management and housing to victims of human trafficking

Pregnancy Care Services at three center locations, offering pregnancy testing, sonograms, options counseling, and material support to pregnant women/families.

Offering free pregnancy testing, sonogram, and options counseling to women facing unplanned pregnancies through 2 state of the art mobile units.

Disaster case management and financial assistance to victims of Hurricane Milton

Comprehensive guardianship to incapacitated elderly through court order.

Emergency financial assistance (rent, mortgage, and utility assistance) to prevent homelessness. To be eligible, the individual/family must be able to meet their financial obligation long-term after assistance is provided.

Immigration legal services offered at 3 locations to foreign-born individuals in need of immigration assistance. Minimal fees apply.

Helping newly arrived legal refugees (documented) to the United States reach self-sufficiency and adjust socially and economically.

Transitional housing for homeless families in Indian River County.

Education and facilitation of Faith Community Nurses serving at their places of worship.

Promoting catholic social teaching, organize Catholic Charities ambassadors at local parishes, Catholic Relief Services, and Catholic Campaign for Human Development.

A diocesan-side ministry to bring the Word of God and sacraments of the Catholic Church to men, women, and juveniles who are incarcerated.
