Catholic Charities of the Diocese of Palm Beach was established in 1984 as the social service arm of the Catholic Diocese of Palm Beach. Catholic Charities programs and ministries are developed to meet the most current and pressing needs of the communities that are served. The agency serves more than 15,000 people in need every year throughout the Diocese of Palm Beach which includes the counties of Palm Beach, St. Lucie, Indian River, Martin and Okeechobee. Catholic Charities currently provides services through 13 programs and ministries.

Populations served include homeless families, people/families at risk of homelessness, victims of human trafficking, victims of disasters, immigrants and refugees, pregnant women/families, incapacitated elderly with no loved one to care for them, and spiritual care to inmates.  Catholic Charities serves anyone in need meeting the eligibility criteria for our programs regardless of religion.  We serve all people in need not because they are Catholic, but because we are Catholic.  The vast majority of people served are low-income minorities.
